Notes:
  • There are a variety of cabins on the Ortelius and the trip price is dependent on the cabin selected
  • Non-divers will receive a $500 discount
The cabin based pricing is:
Quad Porthole $8,500 USD per person, based on Quad occupancy
Twin Porthole $11,400 USD per person, based on double occupancy
Twin Window $12,400 USD per person, based on double occupancy
Twin Deluxe $13,400 USD per person, based on double occupancy
Superior Suite $14,800 USD per person, based on double occupancy

Payment schedule:
  • A non-refundable deposit of $2,000 USD per person is due upon booking. At the time of booking you will be asked to select a cabin type.
  • A second payment of $3,000 USD per person is due September 1, 2023
  • The balance is due May 1, 2023

Price includes:

  • Accommodations aboard the m/v Ortelius, part of the Oceanwide Expeditions polar fleet
  • All meals aboard the ship
  • Diving, usually 1-2 dives a day including tanks and weights
  • Expedition lead by Faith Ortins and other polar diving and UW photography experts
  • Photography, historical and ecological presentations
  • All transfers to and from the ship
  • One night hotel stay in Longyearbyen the night before the ship leaves. It is important to get there early in case luggage gets delayed.

  • Water temperature: <32°F
  • Air temperature: 30-45°F
  • Depths to 80 feet
