Additional Info
With a diving career spanning more than three decades, I began my journey underwater in 1992 and quickly developed a deep appreciation for both the adventure and discipline of scuba diving. I became a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) in 1998 and later expanded my instructional background as a NAUI Scuba Instructor in 2017.
For nearly 30 years, I’ve been diving the challenging and rewarding waters of the Pacific Northwest, an environment that has shaped my skills, mindset, and respect for precision in diving. My passion extends beyond personal exploration—I’m deeply committed to growing the local diving community and sharing that passion with others. I’ve had the privilege of serving on the Board of Directors for GUE Seattle, contributing to the development of divers and the broader community.
In 2018, I was introduced to Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) after my wife and dive teammate, Deana Fraser, completed her Fundamentals course. That experience was a turning point for me. It was both humbling and inspiring, reinforcing that there is always more to learn and refine in diving. Since then, I’ve fully embraced the GUE system, completing numerous courses and progressing to become a GUE Fundamentals Instructor and Technical Diver 1 Instructor.
Outside of diving, I bring over five years of experience as a volunteer EMT, which has instilled in me a strong foundation in emergency response, situational awareness, and teamwork—skills that directly complement my approach to diving and instruction.
I currently live in Seattle, Washington, with my wife Deana, and together we continue to dive, teach, and support others in pursuing excellence underwater.
