In June 2025, dedicated divers from around the world came together in Glavotok, Krk to explore and document the underwater environment using scientific methods and advanced dive techniques. The week’s activities included mapping seagrass meadows, creating detailed 3D models of coralligenous reef habitats, and deploying environmental sensors to better understand changes in shallow-water ecosystems. Bringing together recreational, fundamentals, and CCR divers, this project marked one of the largest gatherings of GUE scientific divers ever—all contributing to data that supports marine habitat protection and conservation.
This years activities will tie into efforts to create a marine protected area in the northern adriatic and collecting data and documentation to support this effort.
All diving levels welcome. Ideally GUE Scientific Diver certified but not a MUST

We plan for approximately 10 dives over 5 diving days, focusing on shallow Baltic wrecks with a maximum depth of around 30 m.

However, Tech and CCR divers are also welcome and will have the opportunity to plan longer bottom time dives, depending on conditions and team composition.
The main goal of the week is simple: fun and relaxed wreck diving.
A secondary goal is skill development — during the trip we will run short, informal micro-workshops focused on wreck diving techniques and overall diving capacity improvement.

The purpose of this project is to reduce the amount of marine litter and minimize the risk of ghost catches of porpoises, fish, seabirds and other marine life by salvaging ghost nets in Skånska Kattegatt.
We plan for five weeks in 2026. For 2026, we plan three weeks with a maximum depth of 30 metres so all diving will be performed on Nitrox and two weeks at about 40 meters and will be looking for CCR-divers for that part of the cleaning.
Please note that the area is very exposed and therefore sensitive to changing weather conditions. There is also a strong surface current frequently present and we have therefore a requirement of GUE DPV1 for all participants.
In connection with the start of the separate weeks, retrieval training will be offered for all divers.

설명: In 2021 and 2022, GUE Sweden conducted a survey of ghost nets in the marine reserve Skånska Kattegatt. The final report concluded that ghost nets should be retrieved from eleven wrecks and that the situation on the remaining wrecks in the area should be mapped and documented.
The purpose of this project is to reduce the amount of marine litter and minimize the risk of ghost catches of porpoises, fish, seabirds and other marine life by salvaging ghost nets in Skånska Kattegatt.
We plan for five weeks in 2026. For 2026, we plan three weeks with a maximum depth of 30 metres so all diving will be performed on Nitrox and two weeks at about 40 meters and will be looking for CCR-divers for that part of the cleaning.
- 18-25 July on nitrox depths, ie max 30 metres
- 25 July to 1 August, on nitrox depths, ie max 30 metres
- 1-8 August, on nitrox depths, ie max 30 metres
- 8-15 August on trimix depths, around 40 metres, on CCR
- 15-22 August on trimix depths, around 40 metres, on CCR
Please note that the area is very exposed and therefore sensitive to changing weather conditions. There is also a strong surface current frequently present and we have therefore a requirement of GUE DPV1 for all participants.
In connection with the start of the separate weeks, retrieval training will be offered for all divers.

This more than a hundred years old steamer rests on a steep underwater slope near the Croatian coast, at a depth of about 28 to 55 meters. The aim of the project is to create a high-quality 3D model of the wreck using photogrammetry and to prepare comprehensive video documentation. By combining modern documentation technologies with technical diving, we want to preserve a digital record of the current state of the wreck, allowing both divers and those interested in marine history to explore it virtually. The project includes a series of documentary dives, during which thousands of photos will be collected and then used to reconstruct a three-dimensional model of the wreck. The end result will be a detailed visualization of the wreck of the SS Lina, which is a valuable source of information for the diving community, researchers and history enthusiasts.
